Phở Bắc Restaurant

Overview

Phở Bắc Restaurant is a hidden gem located at 4897 Buford Hwy NE, Suite 106, in Chamblee, GA, offering an authentic Vietnamese dining experience that keeps guests coming back for more. This family-owned eatery serves traditional pho, one of the most iconic dishes in Vietnamese cuisine. Whether you’re a pho enthusiast or new to the dish, Phở Bắc Restaurant delivers a warm, inviting atmosphere and flavorful meals that hit the spot.

When you step into Phở Bắc Restaurant, you’re immediately welcomed by the savory scent of rich broths simmering and the sight of fresh ingredients. The restaurant offers a comfortable, no-frills ambiance, perfect for a relaxed meal with family or friends. The staff is friendly and quick to make recommendations, especially for newcomers unfamiliar with the diverse flavors and textures of Vietnamese cuisine.

One of the standout dishes at Phở Bắc is, of course, their signature pho. Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup, typically made with a flavorful broth, rice noodles, herbs, and meat, commonly beef or chicken. The pho here is carefully prepared with a rich, aromatic broth that’s simmered for hours, extracting deep flavors from a mix of spices and herbs. This attention to detail results in a pho that’s incredibly flavorful, yet balanced and not overwhelming. Whether you go for the classic Pho Tai (with thinly sliced beef) or Pho Ga (with chicken), you’ll find that every bite is comforting and delicious. The portion sizes are generous, and the broth is light yet satisfying, with a depth of flavor that’s hard to match.

For those seeking variety, the menu at Phở Bắc Restaurant offers more than just pho. Their banh mi sandwiches, filled with crispy bread and a variety of fillings, are a hit among regulars. The combination of pickled vegetables, fresh herbs, and proteins like grilled pork or chicken provides a delightful contrast of textures and flavors that’s both crunchy and savory. The menu also includes rice plates, vermicelli bowls, and spring rolls, each crafted with fresh ingredients and bursting with authentic flavors. You can also customize your dishes with a selection of sauces and spices for those who like to add a little extra kick to their meal.

What sets Phở Bắc Restaurant apart from many other Vietnamese restaurants in the area is its commitment to authenticity. Many of the recipes are handed down through generations, ensuring that every dish feels like it was made in Vietnam. The chefs at Phở Bắc take pride in using high-quality ingredients, from the noodles to the meats, vegetables, and herbs. The quality shines through in every bite, which is why locals and visitors alike rave about their food.

Another thing that keeps customers coming back is the restaurant's friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re a regular or a first-time visitor, you’ll feel like part of the family. The staff is knowledgeable and always eager to make suggestions based on your preferences, ensuring you leave satisfied.

Over the years, Phở Bắc Restaurant has earned a reputation for its top-notch service and food. Local food critics have praised the restaurant for its commitment to maintaining the authenticity of traditional Vietnamese dishes while providing a modern dining experience. The consistency in the quality of food and service makes it a must-visit for anyone in the Chamblee area.

Very pleasant and efficient dining with friendly service and reasonable price. Pho Tais and Bun Bo Hue excellent with well cooked authentic ingredients. Prawn cakes was a bit disappointing, hardly tasting any prawn. Presentation could also improve. Cha gio was well made and delicious. Restaurant was clean and spacious and plenty of parking.

We had the pho. The quantity was good for the price. It had a lot of meat in it, we really enjoyed it. We also had the chicken sandwich, it was good. I just wish the pho was a bit more warm. I always enjoy when the pho is pretty hot. The service was fast so we didnt have to wait for our food long.

I’ll Try It

Service was immediate to bring drinks. The food was hot and fresh. The Bahn Mi had the perfect crunch to the bread with the inside still being a little soft and not hurting your mouth as you chew. The noodles were delicious, and the broth very flavorful. Prices were also very affordable, and all of the work staff was kind and helpful.

Meat to rice ratio is pretty damn good. Had to ask for an extra bowl of rice. Service is great, quick and very friendly. For sure coming back to try other dishes

An OG on Buford Highway, Pho Bac has not disappointed yet. Today was rare beef, flank, tendon and tripe. Clean with plenty of veg on the side.

This low key local eatery is a great spot to slurp a delicious bowl of Pho and chew into a meaty bahn mi. Lots of options and plenty of other noodle dishes. Fast and friendly service. I had the salted limeaid.

I’ve worked in the area for 10+ years and have never been to this establishment… and I’m really upset about that! The service exceeded my expectation, the food was delicious and reasonably priced, and the overall experience was amazing. I will definitely be back to sit down to eat and I highly recommend.
